Sales Trainee

Midwest distributor is seeking an individual who is interested in a long career in providing solutions to manufacturing industry with liquid paint and powder coating application problems.

Employer will train this person to provide solutions to these problems over a 2 - 3 year period.  Salary, travel expenses and individual health insurance provided.

After completion of training, employee will be offered a sales position which will include base salary plus sales commission.  If applicant already possesses 3 - 5 years sales experience in this field, then salaried/commission position would be offered up front.

Applicant must posses mechanical aptitude, good math skills, and computer knowledge.

Sales trainee salary - $30,000.  Experienced sales person potential salary $60,000 - $70,000.

Chemical Management Opportunity – Program Engineer

The Program Engineer will provide engineering support for the Chemical Management Services program at a major manufacturing plant located in Illinois and assume responsibility for a budget of approximately $1M in chemical sales. This role will manage a customer manufacturing facility which includes manufacturing process troubleshooting and cost savings delivery.

Accountabilities Include:

  • Meet quality policy expectations and maintain the quality system.

  • Develop, cultivate and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with pertinent manufacturing and production management staff, finance and union personnel.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve chemical related problems.

  • Inspect chemical processes and associated mechanical systems on a regular basis to ensure optimal performance.

  • Review all on-site laboratory results, both standard and analytical, to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

  • Meet regularly with plant personnel to update program performance and progress.

  • Provide appropriate chemical process training to on-site personnel.

  • Develop and implement cost savings/cost avoidance programs.

  • Develop and implement a schedule for system additions, dumps and recharges based on documented system performance specifications.

  • Identify and prevent problems related to products, processes and the quality system.

  • Recommend and initiate solutions through designated channels and follow-up to verify the implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.

  • Meet the companies’ expectations of no accidents, no harm to people and no damage to the environment.

 

Required Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Program Engineer applicants must have:

  • Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Excellent presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the required qualifications the successful candidate is likely to be able to demonstrate:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in chemical engineering or technical discipline.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in chemical management services.

  • Strong level skills with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
